I do not usually do this, but I just wanted to mention how much I enjoyed using the 4"x6" whitelines' note book that I used for my IDEA book. I had bought five of them at one time when my usual 4"x6" sketch book had become unavailable. It took me all of 2011 to use these five IDEA books. At first I was not sure about the lite grey pages with the white lines but it proved to be a great design

Almost two years ago, I curated and exhibition of artists sketchbooks, doodle books, journals, and idea books at Veith Street Gallery in Halifax. The exhibition entitled Insight profiled approximately twelve artists sketchbooks / journals. The idea for the exhibition came from a conversation I had with someone more than ten years ago about getting to look inside artist’s sketchbooks and journals.

In the last posting I profiled my studio journal. This journal has worked very well for working out concepts for images while working in my studio, however because of the size 8.5" x 11" I found it was too big to carry in some of the camera cases and small shoulder bags that I use. So in the last post I mentioned that I have an idea book for web and blog site development. Because I am working on three different blog sites and two web sites I found it useful to have an idea book dedicated to just web stuff. This way I can go back and look at how I approached a particular design element. Bellow you will find some of the pages from this idea book.

Here are a few images of my Studio Journal. This is different from my IDEA BOOKS in that I only use this journal for my studio work and I have been using this journal for some time, going back to 1994 in my last year at NSCAD.
